Featured Finding Mercy

The newest addition to my Featured Mom Blogger is Elizabeth at Finding Mercy. Elizabeth is a wife and mom to two girls, she can sew the cutest little dresses, and has an amazing home business making felt food. The food looks so real, and the workmanship is excellent.
I think my favorite post is My Girls Have a Daddy. I'm a Daddy's Girl, but this post is so sweet with all the loving pictures of Daddy with the girls. I also love the conversations around the house post. "Cuteness" is a good word to describe Elizabeth and her family.
She also includes posts that are inspiring, such as Words to End Your Week, and her most recent post of Changing My Response - An Exercise in Empathy. I find so many mom bloggers that pour out their souls on their blogs, especially with their struggles of parenting and it's not very often that you come across one that actually has a solution or a "change of plan", so to speak. This one does, and I like her solution. Now if I can only remember to try it when an "I told you" moment comes up.
Elizabeth and her husband have an interesting story to tell about their decision to adopt a domestic trans-racial child through a local pregnancy center. Her posts go into detail about their reasons for adopting, their planning, and thoughts on how others view them. I with them all the best in their endeavor, and hope it enhances their "cuteness". They will be in my prayers that all goes smoothly and their dreams are fulfilled.

Featuring Roaring Moms

I have stumbled across a blog that I would like to feature on We ♥ Mom Bloggers. Her name is Debo and her blog is titled Roaring Moms, and the tagline is A Positively Funny Twist on Reality. Her welcome reads "Dive on in! The Roaring is fine! We're livin', lovin', and laughin' out loud."
I love the simple design, clean look and the bright colors of her blog. Her latest article discusses a debate over middle school students wearing "Save the Boobies" bracelet. The tale she related ended up with her mom friends being divided over the issue, with reactions from outrage to amusement and to support. Debo asks a question of her readers of their reaction to this dilemma. The comments left on her post, I thought, were very insightful on the ideas presented. Check out the post and respond with your thoughts.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading her posts, and as advertised, funny with a twist of reality. The next post, No Pity Party Here, was very touching as she comes to a realization of "happiness" does not always come from the children. It made me ponder on a subject that has come up in our household recently... it's not always about the child. I also enjoyed her Happy Happy Joy Joy post. This consisted of a list of things that make her family smile. A cute list with a humorous side.
I could go on and on with her posts. I spent a great deal of time browsing through her blog and I definitely intend to come back to check out her next one. I hope you will stop by and visit her blog and be sure to mention that you saw her blog featured on We ♥ Mom Bloggers.

Featuring The Ins and Outs of a Stay-at-home Mom and Wife

Today, I would like to introduce you to one of my newest friends, Jacqui, from The Ins and Outs of a Stay-at-home Mom and Wife. She is a young mom that just started blogging in February. I chose her blog for my first featured mom blogger because her blog is also "young" and she is looking for new followers. But that's not the only reason why I chose her blog. I chatted with her on twitter one evening, and I thought she was very sweet and very enthusiastic about blogging. She was one of the first people to join the Facebook Group and her introduction that she posted says "I love to blog!! i talk about it all. the challenges to make it to the end of the day in one piece, come see how i spend my days."
When I went to go check out her blog this morning, I saw one of her newest posts today... Q&A From Post 100. A perfect introduction for my feature today. She talks about why she started blogging and about being a mom, and other non-mom related topics. She likes to participate in blog memes (like me), she features bloggers and has guest bloggers. She also blogs about weight loss tips, hosts her own blog meme, Getting 2 Know This Blogger, and includes the cutest photos of her two beautiful boys. I especially love her header image where her face is peeking out of the window of the door, and the boys are looking out the side windows.
She also has another blog called Cooking for Little Fingers. She loves to cook and watch the food network. She told me that she has researched a lot of healthy recipes for children, some were bad, but some were good. She blogs about those recipes that she tries and posts pictures too. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for the recipes because I have a very picky 6 year old that won't hardly eat any meats, veggies, or fruits and she's too smart for me to hide or disguise foods.
